Travis Wayne Goodsell's opinions on a variety of subjects and topics
This is what it looks like in Portugal without Net Neutrality. So first you still have to keep paying your Internet company then you have to pay extra for packages. 4.99 is about $6 and this is only for the first month of use. I would need to pay for the Social package, Video package, and the Email package, and my Weebly service would be excluded as well as websites for news and the lds church, which will probably be another package exclusive to Utahans, or we may have to pay an individual access fee, like having to pay extra at Subway for bacon on a Club sandwich. And then Google searching will be altered as will websites I use for information. We will be denied access to our commonly used websites, forced to pay for services we will never use, and start up companies will be forced out unless they pay extortion fees to be a part of a package. This is Mafia and Union tactics, not capitalist practices. I would be forced to pay $18 more/ month to use the internet in just the first month, thereafter who knows how much it would skyrocket. None of you did anything to stop the Cable and Satellite companies who sued and won to provide packages for their service and pay extra if you wanted HBO or Showtime. Notice how options are now limited from when it first started? WE CAN'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN TO THE INTERNET!!!
