I see Mormons are still under the "condemnation" extended by President Benson in his April 1986 Conference talk, "Cleansing the Inner Vessel", from Doctrine and Covenants 84:52-59. Joseph Smith prophesied 19 July 1840 that the U.S. Constitution would be on "the brink of ruin" and require the Elders of Israel to restore it, but "not" as President Benson said, "in Washington" in his BYU speech 16 September 1986, "The Constitution: A Heavenly Banner". Mormons are unaware that President David O. McKay ordered the Elders of Israel in the Priesthood Session of General Conference to rescue the Constitution 9 April 1966 "Statement Concerning the Position of the Church on Communism", but those Priesthood holders failed to follow the living Prophet. So, then from 1967 to 1973 a new generation was born to whom President Benson specifically spoke to in the Priesthood Session of General Conference April 1986, "To the Youth of the Noble Birthright" calling them the "Royal Army of the Lord" foreordained in the "last days". We are now beginning to turn 50 last year. But according to this article it looks like the Elders of Israel will fail yet again to not follow our living Prophets.
