Case in point: How many LDS members believe they are "Christian"? The answer is NOT A SINGLE ONE IS TO BELIEVE OR DECLARE THEY ARE CHRISTIAN! Yet, we all know the truth that the majority of LDS members believe and declare they are Christian. No one studies, period. The LDS Church has been perpetuating this LDS culture to not study. Even in the Seminaries and Institutes, they encourage reading rather than studying. Scripture mastery instructs outwardly to study the background history of a scriptural passage, but does not direct anyone to a source or accurate historical background replacing it with a background history based solely on the text itself. Case in point: In the Old Testament they only encourage reading and comparison of only the Canon scriptures talking of, say, the Creation Story. So the LDS student would be directed to Genesis 1 & 2, Moses, and Abraham and nothing else. Moses is the only source for the historical background. Why isn't Section 84 and 93 utilized? Why aren't the source documents of Hebrew, Greek, and Egyptian utilized? Do you see??? The Church talks the talk of telling members to study, but they don't walk the walk, nor are they being the being. Apostles, yes, Apostles are now coming out admitting that they don't even know scripture or the doctrine and go to BYU professors to answer their questions. THAT'S SERIOUSLY WRONG!!!
So, if you are a seeker of truth rather than a fence sitter, I again refer you to today's lesson #2 for Sunday School. The lesson doesn't tell us that we have foreordained missions, just Moses. Our foreordained mission is to restore the Kingdom of God - how many LDS members do you think are doing that?
