Horus vs Set; Elijah vs Lilith; Jesus vs Lucifer; Man Child vs Dragon
Missionaries are required to go out preaching two by two not on their own as Brigham Young did. As a result many scandalous rumors and accusations were made about Brigham's sexual behavior while alone on his mission, which became difficult to dismiss. In the LDS Church Bishops perform interviews with adults and children, males and females all alone in his locked office. As a result there have likewise been many scandals involving Bishops. It is reported that there have been over 300 sexual assault accusations since the 1970's and though you may be tempted to say that that is only 6 per year, you need to understand that any # is too many. The Mormons have their doctrine of Two Witnesses, not to testify of truth, but to testify for protection from accusation, thus the idea of Church Leaders having two Counselors, but those Counselors are not with the Bishop in an interview. Protect LDS Children are now protesting against this one on one practice with Bishops and children. What compounds the problem is a Bishop not recording or documenting the interview which would also serve to protect him. And as in the case of my Bishop yesterday requesting to see me privately to discuss a personal matter that will not be documented, I flat out responded by telling him that I have learned from the Book of Mormon that if a discussion is not documented it probably shouldn't be said or done. I don't want to go into any situation where I am placed in a vulnerable and threatening situation. I require a document trail. The next point is that Bishops and Stake Presidents for that matter, are not doctrinal authorities, yet members of the Church turn to them and even quote them concerning revelations and commandments. AGAIN let me repeat from Section 43: "ONLY the President of the Church can receive revelations and commandments". So then what of the roles of the other Church leaders? They are to only function in a ritual and an administrative function, not as giving new revelations and commandments to their Wards or Stakes. They can't do it and every member must oppose any Bishop and Stake President who tells them of any other doctrine than that in the Book of Mormon or gives them any other commandment in violation of what only the Presidents of the Church have given. Mormons don't get or understand this. As a result Mormons have added more revelations and commandments than what is really official. Section 43 was given to protect Mormons from false leaders and teachers. We do not go to our local leaders for doctrinal questions, because the only answer they should give is to parrot the scriptures and the Presidents of the Church. And no Bishop can give commandments regarding a person qualifying for worthiness. The Temple Interview questions are it. Mormons are to live in accordance within the interview questions. If a Mormon says they drink caffeine and therefore believe they have violated the Word of Wisdom, a Bishop is to tell them there is no such commandment and that the Mormon is still worthy. Yet ask Mormons how many of them believe caffeine violates the Word of Wisdom. The whole issue wouldn't be an issue if the Church in all areas of the Church followed the Commandment of two by two and witnesses who document everything.
