But today we come to a pivotal day in Church History once again as the leader of the Quorum of Twelve speaks to the Church when he should be in a meeting with the Twelve to approve him as the successor as altered by Brigham Young. If Mormons had been studying the General Conference talks in connection with the Book of Mormon, Members would have identified the False Christs and False Prophets among us with the conflicting doctrines and the revelations and commandments by those Apostles not authorized to order such. Brigham Young himself gave a prophecy which is rather ironic saying, "Brethren, this church will be led on to the very brink of hell by the leaders of this people." And John Taylor, Young's appointed successor likewise said, "The Church will go on into bondage both temporally and spiritually and in that day the One Mighty and Strong spoken of in the 85th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants would come." At that point of fulfillment what do you think the Church leaders would do and say to the members? J.J. Dewey said this of such a condition:
"What would happen if the Church were cut off? Do you suppose you would hear our president announce the next day, “Well, brothers and sisters, I’ve got some had news - We’ve been cut off.” Far from it. Instead the Lord merely cuts them off from true revelation and they are left to struggle by themselves to lean on the arm of flesh. From that point on every favorable emotion is interpreted as the Holy Spirit."
Since the Presidency of Joseph Fielding Smith, Sr. the Church has denounced the idea that this Church and its leaders would fall and need saving by the One Mighty and Strong (i.e. the Man Child of Revelation 12). It is left out of our manuals, commentaries, scripture footnotes and dictionary, and talks by our leaders in General Conference. The prophesied day is upon us; the One Mighty and Strong has come as prophesied during the prophesied time of Church corruption both temporally and spiritually.
It was intended of Tithing to be for the poor, yet today, Tithing is not used for the poor, but by Fast Offerings. Malachi was very clear to distinguish between Tithes and Offerings:
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
- Malachi 3:10
The Church leadership is supposed to be a lay ministry, yet it was released that the Brethren get upwards of $200,000/year. These men were rich and could just have easily retired to give volunteer service to the Church, yet they are paid and paid extravagantly. How can The Church fool the membership into believing that the poor are taken care of with also only a token amount of supplies to aid places experiencing natural disasters? Why aren't Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico still receiving daily aid from the Church? By their fruits ye shall know them all right. And the fruits of the Church is corruption and abuse of authority.
34 Behold, there are many called, but few are chosen. And why are they not chosen?
35 Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world, and aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this one lesson--
36 That the rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon the principles of righteousness.
37 That they may be conferred upon us, it is true; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control or dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the children of men, in any degree of unrighteousness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man.
38 Behold, ere he is aware, he is left unto himself, to kick against the pricks, to persecute the saints, and to fight against God.
39 We have learned by sad experience that it is the nature and disposition of almost all men, as soon as they get a little authority, as they suppose, they will immediately begin to exercise unrighteous dominion.
40 Hence many are called, but few are chosen.
- Doctrine and Covenants 121:34-40
And once authority of a Church leader is gone, they only have one recognized authority from God:
1 O hearken, ye elders of my church, and give ear to the words which I shall speak unto you.
2 For behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye have received a commandment for a law unto my church, through him whom I have appointed unto you to receive commandments and revelations from my hand.
3 And this ye shall know assuredly—that there is none other appointed unto you to receive commandments and revelations until he be taken, if he abide in me.
4 But verily, verily, I say unto you, that none else shall be appointed unto this gift except it be through him; for if it be taken from him he shall not have power except to appoint another in his stead.
5 And this shall be a law unto you, that ye receive not the teachings of any that shall come before you as revelations or commandments;
6 And this I give unto you that you may not be deceived, that you may know they are not of me.
And thus comes the prophecy of the One Mighty and Strong, the Man Child, whom Brigham Young appointed to be the Church leadership successor, not the current arrangement with the Twelve that everyone is expecting President Nelson to announce at 9 AM this morning. President Nelson can say nothing, but to abdicate his right to Church leadership to the foreordained and prophesied choice of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ whose Church this belongs. Yet will he??? The nature and disposition of almost all men says otherwise.
So, like I said, today is a Historic Day. No one should miss it. Everyone should find a way to witness it live, first hand, even if you have to sneak into the work bathroom to watch it on your cell phone.
